Who We Are

About SteelFlange

Our Story

One Product. Done Properly. Since 1998.

We never diversified into valves, fittings or fabricated spools. Every rupee of reinvestment went back into forging capacity, machining accuracy and metallurgical testing — which is why our flanges come back from third-party inspection without a single comment.

The company was started by the late Shri Ramesh Kulkarni with two second-hand lathes and a rented shed in the MIDC belt. His conviction was simple: the Indian market was flooded with flanges that looked right on the outside and failed on the inside, and someone ought to make them properly.

Today the second generation runs a 28,000 sq. ft. integrated plant with 42 CNC machines, a 12-tonne forging line and an in-house metallurgical laboratory. We ship to 42 countries, but the same founder's rule still applies — no flange leaves the works without a heat number you can trace back to the mill certificate.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

01

Integrity of Material

We buy only from primary mills and never substitute a grade. If the certificate says A105N, that is exactly what is in the box.

02

Dimensional Discipline

Tighter-than-standard tolerances on facing finish and bolt-hole circles, verified on a CMM before dispatch.

03

Promises Kept

A confirmed delivery date is a commitment, not an estimate. 98.6% of our orders ship on or before that date.

04

People First

Average operator tenure is 11 years. We invest in training, safety and profit sharing because craft does not survive churn.

Milestones

The Journey So Far

1998

Two Lathes and a Rented Shed

Shri Ramesh Kulkarni begins machining slip-on and blind flanges for local fabricators in Andheri East.

2004

First Export Order

A 6,000-piece weld neck order for a UAE pipeline contractor marks the start of our export business.

2009

In-House Forging

Installation of a 5-tonne forging line ends our dependence on bought-out forgings and gives us control of grain flow.

2014

ISO 9001 & PED Certification

Quality system certified and European Pressure Equipment Directive approval obtained for the EU market.

2019

Unit Two Opens

A dedicated 12,000 sq. ft. large-bore facility takes capacity up to 120" diameter flanges.

2023

Metallurgical Lab & PMI

In-house spectroscopy, UT, MPI and hardness testing — no more waiting on external labs for release notes.

2026

Today

380 people, 42 CNC machines, 42 export countries and over 1.2 million flanges delivered.
